2022

Ukraine presented its first pavilion at COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, in November 2022. Its main task was to demonstrate the devastating impact of the war on the whole world and to enlist support for the country’s revival.

In total, more than 45 000 delegates attended COP27

  • Among them were about 100 world leaders
  • Over 30 events were held in the Ukrainian pavilion, attended by over 4,000 participants
  • More than 100 publications related to Ukraine at COP27 were made by the global media

2023

At previous year’s COP28 in the UAE, the Ukraine pavilion was dedicated to the scale of environmental damage caused by war, including the Russian explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. The topic was chosen in accordance with the 8th paragraph of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula, ‘Environmental Security’.

  • More than 30 events were held in the Ukrainian pavilion, attended by more than 4,000 participants
  • More than 100 publications related to Ukraine at COP28 were made by the global media
The Ukraine pavilion at COP28

COP is the largest international climate event of the year, bringing together world leaders, key players in the environmental, energy, economic and financial sectors, representatives of large multinational businesses, scientists, developers and leaders. The event includes numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings, presentations of industry innovations, exchange of views and experiences of stakeholders at all levels, as well as tens of thousands of visitors and two weeks of global media attention.
