Ukraine’s Climate Achievements – On the Road to COP30

For the fourth year in a row, Ukraine will open a National Pavilion at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), which will take place in Belém, Brazil from November 10th to 21st. This is an opportunity to show the world the consequences of full-scale Russian aggression and that, despite the ongoing war, Ukraine remains committed to its climate obligations and continues on the path of green recovery and European integration.

Prior to the conference, a hybrid event “Ukraine’s Climate Achievements — On the Road to COP30”, will be held in Kyiv on October 21. During the event, participants will discuss Ukraine’s priorities and plans for COP30, its progress in climate policy, and the prospects, challenges, and opportunities of implementing climate policy, particularly in the context of European integration.

The event will bring together Ukrainian and German government officials, international and Ukrainian experts, as well as business and civil society representatives. The event will be held in the format of panel discussions, during which the audience will be able to ask the participants questions.

The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine organized the event with the support of the IKI Interface and PAABS projects, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine.
