Ukraine prepares to participate in COP30
Ukraine is preparing to participate in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), the biggest climate event of the year. This year, the conference will take place in Belém, Brazil, in November.
Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Pavlo Kartashov and Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Ukraine Rafael de Mello Vidal discussed preparations for the Conference during their meeting. They discussed events in which Ukrainian delegates could participate and the organization of bilateral meetings at various levels.
The parties recognized the importance of Ukraine and Brazil joining efforts at the highest level to overcome current challenges. There are several areas of potential cooperation between Ukraine and Brazil, including protecting forests and biodiversity, developing renewable energy, and ensuring global food security. COP30 is an effective platform for this purpose.
Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Pavlo Kartashov thanked Ambassador Rafael de Mello Vidal and the Federative Republic of Brazil for their support and expressed hope for the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries.
