Ukraine Pavilion COP28 2023

At previous year’s COP28 in the UAE, the Ukraine pavilion was dedicated to the scale of environmental damage caused by war, including the Russian explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. The topic was chosen in accordance with the 8th paragraph of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula, ‘Environmental Security’.

In total, more than 90,000 participants attended COP28

  • Among them were 150 world leaders
  • More than 30 events were held in the Ukrainian pavilion, attended by more than 4,000 participants
  • More than 100 publications related to Ukraine at COP28 were made by the global media

COP is the largest international climate event of the year, bringing together world leaders, key players in the environmental, energy, economic and financial sectors, representatives of large multinational businesses, scientists, developers and leaders. The event includes numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings, presentations of industry innovations, exchange of views and experiences of stakeholders at all levels, as well as tens of thousands of visitors and two weeks of global media attention.

Ukraine’s participation in the international climate conference is crucial for advancing our climate priorities in Ukraine’s recovery and underscoring our commitment to fighting climate change.
