Within the Ukrainian Pavilion at COP30, Ukrainian civil society organizations will present their vision of the role of civil society in shaping climate policy and post-war green recovery. The panel will bring together leading experts and activists working in the fields of climate advocacy, just recovery, and local resilience.

The discussion will focus on how civil society initiatives in times of war continue to advance the climate agenda, integrate the principles of the European Green Deal into reconstruction and current local and national policies, and strengthen the participation of youth and local communities in decision-making.

Participants will share examples of projects that demonstrate that Ukrainian civil society remains a driver of climate action even in extraordinary circumstances – from climate change adaptation to economic decarbonization.
