- Day theme: Forests, Oceans, and Biodiversity, while spotlighting Indigenous peoples, Local and traditional communities, Children and Youth, and Small and medium entrepreneurs
A high-level dialogue hosted by South Australian Water Ambassador and former Minister for Water Security, the Honourable Karlene Maywald. Facilitated by the Australian Water Partnership.
The panellists will discuss the triple challenge of modernising critical water infrastructure, managing climate impacts, and navigating geopolitical threats. The discussion will offer valuable perspectives for shaping global policy frameworks that strengthen sustainability, resilience, and security. Drawing on Australia’s experience with ecosystem-based water governance and Indigenous approaches to land stewardship, the discussion highlights community-led and nature-based solutions that connect water security with local livelihoods, youth innovation, and green entrepreneurship.
