On Tuesday, 19 November, at 18:00, we invite media representatives to the Ukrainian pavilion at the COP29 to talk to Svitlana Grynchuk, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
At the press conference, Minister Svitlana Grynchuk will talk about the environmental and climate damage caused by russia’s war against Ukraine over the past 1000 days.
For almost three years of war, environmental damage has reached $71 billion. Svitlana Grynchuk will share figures on the cross-border impact of russia’s armed aggression, which offsets the world’s efforts to achieve climate neutrality;
she will talk about Ukraine’s fulfilment of its climate commitments despite the war, the implementation of the 8th paragraph of President Zelensky’s Peace Formula, the tools to hold Russia accountable, and plans for Ukraine’s green recovery.
The presentation will be followed by a QA session.
