The second edition of the infographic study on the impact of the war on the environment has been released.
On the eve of the UN Climate Conference COP29, Top Lead Agency, with the analytical support of the Ministry of Ecology, has released a new infographic study ‘The Russian-Ukrainian War: Environmental Impact’.
What does the study contain?
The 50-page study clearly demonstrates the environmental damage caused by the war, in particular:
- Total environmental damage, including a breakdown by region and area: to Ukraine’s water, air and land
- Cases of national nature parks under occupation, affected by hostilities and the consequences of the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam explosion
- The impact of war on climate change
- And many other topics and aspects of the war’s impact on the environment
While working on the study, the Top Lead team cooperated with the Ministry of Ecology, national parks and relevant experts on the environment and climate.
