Ukraine is inviting the visitors of COP30 to the Grand opening of its National Pavilion under the title “A Time Capsule: the World we choose”.
Date: 11 November
Time: 3.30 pm
Where: Blue Zone, Pavilion PV-C61
The Pavilion embodies Ukraine’s message to the world: even through the devastation of war, life renews itself, nature recovers, and innovation thrives. But the choice of the direction is in our hands, and it is this choice that defines our present and future.
Guests will be able to make their own choice — and leave the imprint that will be preserved in time. Experience how war impacts nature and how, nevertheless, it renews after the destruction, witness the unique items that nature creates within such circumstances, as well as the strength of innovation.
The Pavilion will showcase real examples of unique community projects that are leading Ukraine’s green transformation, reflecting how innovation grows from the ground up, driven by people who rebuild their future with sustainability at heart.
The Pavilion’s design and program will immerse visitors in five interlinked themes that reflect Ukraine’s broader vision: food security, climate policy in times of war, biodiversity, energy independence, and green recovery — will come alive in interaction during this year’s presentation.
This year’s COP30 centers around the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF), a global initiative to mobilize finance for forest protection and nature-based solutions. Against this backdrop, the Ukraine Pavilion offers a striking parallel: a country restoring its ecosystems as fundamental pillars of recovery, even in times of war.
The panels at the Ukraine Pavilion during COP30 will showcase the country’s comprehensive approach to green recovery, climate resilience, and international cooperation in the face of war and global challenges. Through a diverse series of events, discussions, and dialogues, the Pavilion will bring together government officials, international organizations, academia, civil society, and private-sector leaders to explore key themes such as renewable energy, sustainable finance, circular economy, biodiversity protection, and climate governance. These panels will highlight Ukraine’s strategic role in Europe’s green transition, the importance of inclusive recovery—engaging youth, women, and local communities—and innovative pathways for building a climate-resilient future grounded in partnership, sustainability, and technological advancement.
By combining art, policy, and innovation, the Ukraine Pavilion tells a powerful story of resilience. It shows that even in the shadow of war, nature heals, communities innovate, and a green recovery takes root.
If the future of the world were to be shaped by your words and actions, what would you do today?
